1. Mondrian South Beach

Looking for a break from the hustle and bustle of the Miami Beach oceanfront tourist center? Why not head to Mondrian South Beach, located in the up and coming neighborhood of Biscayne Bay. Don’t worry though, you’ll still get plenty of beach vibes.

The hotel is built on a prime waterfront location, with views of the bay, ocean, and downtown Miami. The poolside cabanas aren’t too shabby either. Plus, it’s also only minutes away from the center of South Beach, so you can still get a great night out before retreating back to the hotel.

2. The Guild

The Guild Hotel, in San Diego, is equal parts iconic heritage and modern design. Housed in a century-old historic landmark YMCA building, every detail is thoughtfully curated for an authentic urban experience from ornate archways to dazzling tile-work and contemporary art.

In total, The Guild has 18,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor space, including a ballroom, private garden, and board room. And don’t forget to check out Luca, their top luxury hotel restaurant for some kickass Mediterranean food before heading out to the bounty of San Diego’s Gaslamp District.

3. The Alida

Nestled comfortably in Savannah’s revitalized riverfront, on River Street, The Alida stands as a charming fixture to Southern hospitality. It opens guests up to discover and celebrate the neighborhood, or it can be a hideaway for those who want access to the city’s local artists, makers, and thinkers.

Both nostalgic and forward-thinking, industrial and gracious, curious and always custom, The Alida is sure to delight with its 173 rooms, beautiful meeting spaces, outdoor pool, and rooftop hangout. Experience the inspiring warmth and unpredictability that makes Savannah the true Hostess of the South.

4. The Kimpton Goodland

We love The Kimpton Goodland for being the ultimate Southern California retreat in Santa Barbara’s sister city, Goleta. It’s got surf-inspired décor, poolside cocktails, and coastal cuisine to help you take it easy, relax, and breathe in the fresh Pacific Ocean air.

Wake up and go explore some of Santa Barbara’s best, like Goleta Beach and State Street. Who knows, you might even end up in the nearby wine country? Any way you spin it, your time here is going to be quintessentially California.

Editor’s Note: One of our Instagram followers just won a two night stay there in our recent giveaway contest. Tune in on the second Tuesday of each month for future giveaways and claim your own free stay at one of our partner hotels.

5. The Betsy

The Betsy is an elegant, beach-side haven that delivers straight hits to guests as they enjoy South Beach’s iconic Ocean Drive. Enjoy ocean views from the rooftop pool, curl up in the library, limber up with sunrise yoga, or groove to live Jazz every night of the week.

Hold your next event at The Betsy—they’ve got the credentials to guarantee a good time. In 2017 and 2018, they were rated among the Top Two Resort Hotels on Miami Beach by Travel + Leisure. Then, in 2019 they were named one of the ten best small luxury hotels in the world, by U.S. News & World Report.

6. 1 Hotel South Beach

Occupying an entire city block on Collins Avenue, 1 Hotel South Beach sits directly on 600 feet of pristine, Grade-A South Beach, Miami beachfront. What that means is you’re pretty much guaranteed the best views around: the Atlantic, Miami’s nature’s paradise, Biscayne Bay, and Downtown.

There are 425 rooms available, and all draw inspiration from nature, both land and sea, surrounding the hotel. Follow the fresh tones of white, cool grays, soft oranges, and rustic browns and relax in the amazing hotel lobby before heading out.

7. The Resort at Pedregal

Los Cabos is recognized the world over for its amazing ocean access, and The Resort at Pedregal might have the best in Los Cabos. Built into the side of a cliff and situated literally feet from the ocean, it’s the perfect blend of Baja beach living with ultimate luxury.

Our favorite part is that, to enter, you have to drive through a tunnel through the cliff (how cool is that?). It cements this getaway as a truly unique experience in privacy as guests enjoy sunsets in infinity pools that seem to stretch for miles into the Pacific.

8. PUBLIC Hotel New York

PUBLIC Hotel, New York City, is no stranger to our lists here at Luxpitality: they’ve got an awesome lobby and top tier on-site dining options. What makes this place so special is their commitment to service, style, unique experience, and value, but also their take on new age luxury.

To them, it’s not about “things” or “how much something costs,” but rather experience and how something makes you feel (we couldn’t agree more). This sentiment thrives in their rooms, gardens, bars, restaurants, and event spaces. Don’t pass this one up if you in New York’s Lower East Side.

9. Ace Hotel Palm Springs

We think the Ace Hotel & Swim Club has one of the coolest lobbies we’ve seen, with its desert-nautical rope installation hanging from the ceiling. Fun fact about this property, it was a former Westward Ho with a Denny’s (any other Lumberjack Slam fans out there?), that was refashioned into a 179-room resort.

While there’s no Denny’s there today, don’t miss King’s Highway roadside diner to satisfy those late night munchies. The relaxed desert atmosphere is taken best with a sunset that colors the San Jacinto mountains purple, and a cold beer. It’s perfect after whatever the day has in store for you, from big meeting to low key pool day.
